Math's Fraction

Hi this is a presentation I made in Mrs Tele'a's math's class. It is about fractions. You can use fractions to share food, cut something or at the shop. I hope you enjoy.

Michael and Danny

When Michael and Danny went to the park Danny was practicing his dance for the dance competition that was coming up.Well he was practicing his dance a girl saw him and she said “ can I touch your hair” and Danny said “ok” and  she touch it ,when she touched it her brother came and pushed Danny to the group and said to his sister “ what are you doing” and the sister said “ go away you are so mean gosh can’t you get leave me alone” and the brother said to Danny “ don’t you ever go to my sister if I see you one more time with my sister I will look for you and kill you” and Danny said “ ok ok I promise I will never go to your ever again.” STORY TO BE COUNTIED                                                                                                           

Badmontin

Have you ever played badminton? Every week our math class goes to badminton and learns how to hit a shuttle .Our teacher for badminton is Dani .

The first thing we played was stuck in them mud, this is  how you play. If somebodys get’s tagged  you have to stay still and if somebody has to come and give you a high five and then you are back in the game we play it for our warm up.

We played relays.We sat in a line and Dani gave us a number there were one,two,three,four and five.I was in group five. I was the only girl in group five.

After our relays we played a game called around the world.There were group one and group two.I was in group two.I was fun playing it,all of them were getting out and I was the last girl standing and the only one who was left in group two.It was funny play badminton I hope Dani comes back.

My weekend

In the weekend I went to my aunt's netball game in Manukau so we got in the car and we went. When we got there it looked so small but if you go inside  it is so big and there was only four courts. Me,my aunty and Junior went to play on the other side of the courts when the game started me and Junior went to set down.Junior went to play soccer and I went to shoot with my cousins June and Memory it was a lots of fun when the game was finish we all went to have something to eat.We had K.F.C it was very very yummy and then after that we all went home it was fun going to my aunt's netball I can’t wait for next week .               

Cross Country

I gasped for air as I was running past Pt England  Reserve. Pt England student’s waited nervously on the hot court. I felt like I was baking in the hot sun and I had  butterflies in my stomach.When it was our turn the ten year old girls I was excited  and nervous at the same-time. Mr Burt said “ on your mark get set go” and I ran as fast as a wild lion running though the smelling mud  .   I ran past Miss King and Miss Walter   and I fell into the disgusting mud and Miss King and Miss Walter was laughing at me and  it smell like cow pudding it so smell.

As I ran past the Tamaki students they were encouraging me to keep on running but  I wanted to gave up but I didn't I just keep on running.I was nearlly at the finish line and when  I got there I came First I was buzz of excitement.

It was  hard and so exhausting but was fun and cool at the same time .  It was fun running and it was muddy there was lot’s of mud it felt disgusting when I fall in it it  smelled I was hoping not to fall in the smelling mud but I fall  into it.

I felt nervous I love running but sometime it’s not fun running. I very enjoyed running I was very happy when I came first I thought I was going to come last I can’t wait for next year's cross country .

Basketball

For the last five weeks Room Thirteen have been having  basketball our coach was Rob he said “line up” so we all lined up and the girls went to get a ball from the bag. Our first warm up was line tiggy I was in I got a ball and I got Mele and she was in it was fun and funny playing

Rob told us another lesson he said not to double dribble and not to travelling. The next lesson was all about  knowing how to shoot  we all got a ball my number was nine and my buddy was Ashley Rod said pocket shoulder and then flick it looked like a rainbow when I throw it to Ash.

When we finish Miss Lavakula said to line up and we went. I enjoyed playing Basketball  it was fun my favourite part was shooting it was cool and fun. I love playing basketball I hope I get to play it one day.

Antarctic Treaty

No one own’s Antarctica there are 12 country here are eight of them it is New Zealand, France,South Africa,Japan,Russia,Australia,Norway. Did you know The Antarctic Treaty was agreed in  Washington on the 1 of December 1959 by the twelve country's .

  

My Octopus

There were seven kid’s in the family and mum had to stretch the money so that they got enough to eat. This is my tapped by a octopus hope you like it.

Kelly Tarltons

“Yay I am so excited to go Kelly Tarltons I can’t wait to see the penguins” . On Monday morning team four went on a trip to Kelly Tarltons I was so excited. We went to the hall and I was in Miss Lava Kula's group. When we got up I was so happy to go on the bus. It was so cool on the bus, I was sitting next to Juliet we were playing I Spy. Then we got off the bus and walked into Kelly Tarltons. When we went inside the walls were blue , it felt like I was in the sea. We departed into the school room and we went inside the there was a lady, her name was Janice.

 Janice was talking about different things in Antarctica like Scott hut. The scientists were from New Zealand and their buildings were green because it reminded them of the green land of New Zealand and home . Janice was telling us about the penguins that live in Kelly Tarltons like the gentoo penguins, their babies looked so cute. She was talking about the gentoo penguins how the male penguin picks up a black stone and takes it to a female penguin and if the female picks up the stone they and engaged. Janice said that there were king penguins and the cute gentoo penguins. She said that when the king penguins are babies they are brown. Janice said to the teachers to pick two students they had to wear clothes like what they wear at Scott hut. Miss Lavakula picked Promise and Mr S picked Rebekah.

 When it was finished our classes walked along the wet tall grass to the park. I said “My socks are wet and my toes are cold”. Luckily the sun was shining brightly to dry our soggy shoes and our wet socks. When we saw the adventurous playground,we all ran crazy. As I went onto the Octopus I soared into the sky it felt like I was flying. I went on the flying fox when I went on it I zoomed along like a racing car.

 Once we were back inside Kelly Tarltons, we got to explore the creatures. We all went inside the ice , the ice was spinning in circle it was so cool. While it was spinning I was getting dizzy. Next we looked at the fishes they were very big and the stingrays looked like pancakes it was cool. The other one was the sharks it was so cool looking at them and a little bit scary too. All of team four went up to see the seahorses they were so little , I was surprised I thought they were big. We saw a replica of scott hut but it was a copy of what it looked liked. It was fun when we went inside.. We went to see the penguins they were so cute I liked the gentoo penguins that was swimming inside the water.

 I felt happy when we went to Kelly Tarltons and it helped learn a lot about Antarctica and the creatures that lived there . My favorite part was everything but I loved the gentoo penguins and when they were swimming. They looked so cute .I was so excited when the two ladies inside were feeding the penguins. It was heaps of fun at the park too I loved the octopus and the merry go round. It was cool when it went round and around I got dizzy. I enjoyed myself I had a lots of fun, I hope we go back to Kelly Tarlton's. This was the best school trip yet.

My Giant squid

Some scientists are investigating giant squids that lives and swim’s in the Antarctic Ocean. They eat fish and shellfish. The squid has a mouth, head and a very strong beak they don’t have a backbone.The squid can squeeze thru the smallest gaps. It is because is has no bone’s and they can even fit in the little hole in the world. Squid have suckers on their tentacles that stick.

My story

Long long time ago there lived a leopard seal called Sila and there were 4 Emperor penguins called Wana, Nese, Jess and liz they both lived in Antarctica . It was a very bitterly cold place to live not much people lived there only researchers and scientist.

One day Sila was so hungry for penguins. The 4 penguins went to have a picnic but they had no food so they went to go and get fish and some . Sila saw them having a picnic and she said “yum” to herself . He saw them play tag so he went up to them and said may I play has he was licking his lips . They got scared and ran away and the seal has running after them but they were so fast. Jack was so hungry that her tummy was rumbling. When the 4 penguins were running they said “ paw that was closes ”.

The 4 penguins wanted to go outside and play so they looked left and right at the door to see if the seal was there but the seal wasn't there so they went to play outside . As they were playing Jack saw them playing he was so hungry it can’t help it so he ran to the penguins to eat them but they were just so fast. So the seal came up with a plan to get the penguins and eat them. Jack said to himself “ I can do a trap” so he went to get some fish in the water and he put it on the ice the penguins can smell the fish the seal was hiding. Jess said “ yummy look there are some fish over there “ and Nese said “ let’s go and get some “ they ran to the fish and the seal got them. The penguins was very scared of Jack but the seal just wanted to be friends so they became friends. The End . . . . . . . . . . . .
