Our Anzac Day memorial
Anzac Day occurs on 25 April. It commemorates all New Zealanders killed in war and also honours returned servicemen and woman.
I sat and wondered as we were looking at the memorial how it felt to be at war and to be away from family for a long time. 
I am thankful that those brave men went to war to save our country and families but they are in a better place . Its hard to imagine that 17 million people died and 20 million people wounded. LEST WE FORGET!
