This week we had to write a letter to someone who was affected in the recent earthquake in Canterbury. PTW this is a persons name who I made, so this letter is not to someone.

Hi Leah,

I am deeply sorry for the terrible earthquake that has recently hit Canterbury. I hope you are all safe now and believe you can overcome this earthquake. I am really sorry for the people that has suffered from this event and also sorry for the 2 people who lost their lives in the earthquake. Also sorry for the badly damage to all your houses. I know your food and water supplies are low but cavalry is on the way! Lastly I would like to say to be strong, no matter what happens. My prayers are with you and your 2 kids.

Fizzy drink and mentos experiment

Title -
Purpose: What do you want to learn/find out?
We had to find out which fizzy drink reacted the most with the same amount of mentos?
From this experiment I learned that if you leave the lid open the carbon dioxide will escape who will make a small rection.

Hypothesis: Try to predict the answer to the problem. Another term for hypothesis is ‘educated guess’. This is usually stated like ” If I…(do something) then…(this will occur)
Our group thought that the diet coke would react more than the other drinks.

Materials: List everything you will need to conduct your experiment.
For the experiment you will need different types of fizzy drinks, like diet coke, normal coke,L&P,fanta, pepsi and 7 up  and some mentos.

Experiment procedure: The fun part! Design a test or procedure to confirm or disprove your hypothesis. Write down each step so that someone else could do the same experiment.
1.Step 1:Buy different types of fizzy and mentos.
2.Step2:Then you tape the same amount of mentos and stick it onto the top of the fizzy drink lid.
3.Step 3:The last step is to pull the tape from the lid and watch the mentos go into the drink.

Analysis/Data: Record what happened during the experiment.
We took the fizzy drinks outside to test them.We tested all the fizzy drink with the same amount of mentos and the biggest rection was the 7up and normal coke. Our group didn't think that it would be the biggest reaction. The least rection was the fanta.

Conclusion:Review the data and check to see if your hypothesis was correct.
Before the experiment my group thought that the diet coke was gonna be the biggest reaction, but it wasn't, so our prediction was wrong. But we think that the fizzy and mentos experiment test wasn't a fair test, because the teachers poured out some fizzy from the drink and it wasn't even. The lid of the drinks were kept open for a long time, so maybe the drink lost some carbon dioxide.

This writing will explain and tell you all about our muscles. Did you know everyone has 640 muscles in our body? Each of the muscles in our body belongs to three different group’s. Our muscles are put in the three groups fora reason. They are called Smooth muscles,Cardiac muscles and Skeletal muscles. Every muscle in our body has a very special job that keeps us alive and working.

Smooth Muscles:We all have smooth muscles in our body or also known as involuntary. Our smooth muscles work even if we don't even try. Smooth muscles are found in our stomach, intestines and other hollow organs like the palter. Our smooth muscles wall helps things moving through the organs, like food.

Cardiac Muscles:Our Cardiac muscles is also like smooth muscles they work without trying. Cardic is our heart muscle. Did you know the heart muscles is also known as the myocardium? Its contracts and relaxes to help pump the blood though the rest of your body.

Skeletal Muscles:Skeletal muscles also known as Voluntary. Skeletal muscles are different to Smooth and Cardiac muscles. With Skeletal muscles you decide when you move your muscles. They only move unless you want them too. Muscles move by contracting and relax. But they can’t do it alone. They work in pairs called flexor and extensor. The flexor contracts your arm to bend your arm and extensor relax your arm to be straight.

More facts: Your deltoids muscles helps your shoulder move. Our pectorals muscles are placed on the upper chest. The quadriceps are in our thugs.

Titanium Writing!

I woke up and I was confused. I could feel water all over my  hands like I just finished crying. I was in the middle of the school hallway. I put my head up and looked around. It was a mess. There was paper all over the floor, holes in the walls, broken doors and smashed windows. I got up and walked slowly through the school hallway, looking around and thinking what happened. I felt sad, tired, hungry and alone. There was nobody around me. While I was walking through the hallway I saw a teacher in the classroom on the phone. She looked at me with terror and closed the door shut. I felt like I had done something wrong. I quickly put on my beanie so no one would recognize me. I walked to the front door of the school. I opened the door and saw the police arrive. I started to walk quickly to my bike because I thought he was gonna arrest me. I heard the teacher running to the cops for help. Then he pointed at me and they both looked at me. I hoped on my bike and I was riding my bike as fast as a Lapagene. When I had a good distance from the cops I slowed down for a minute to take a  rest. I saw two ladies jogging. I finally arrived home and  threw my bike on the ground. I quickly ran  inside slamming the door close, behind me.

When I got inside I saw the news on about a supernatural Occurrence at Local School. I hurryed to room and packed my bags frantically. Then I heard a noise at the door and saw shadows, I was so frightened. I was running as fast as I could to the back door. Then I tried to open the door but it was locked. BOOM!, they knocked the door down. I used my powers to get the keys off the table. When I opened the door I was in the wood. I was lost in the woods and  didn’t know where I was going. The sun went down and it was dark. While I was walking I saw light it was coming from behind me. I look and it was the cops. I was running for my life. When I was running I bumped into one of them. I went down slowly and curled into a ball they told me to put my heads on my head. Then BANG! My power’s blew everyone of them away.
